Overview of Lean Management
Lean management involves the application of lean techniques, tools, problem-solving framework, and PDCA and A3 to organize and manage lean improvement projects that address organizational problems and improve performance. Lean Management targets to improve the efficiency of your business operations and making your organization become competitive, innovative, and profitable in today’s changing business environment.
At Apple Vision limited, the Lean Management training curriculum is designed to train new and less experienced lean practitioners on how to reduce wastes and increase organizational efficiency, and apply the knowledge and skills acquired in managing lean projects.
Training Overview
The training curriculum is divided into three phases:
Phase one (1 day): Foundations of Lean Management: This introduces you to the basics of Lean Management.
Phase two (2 days): Lean problem solving tools and techniques: This introduces you to tools and techniques for solving organizational problems and improving efficiency.
Phase three (2 days): Application of Lean: This provides you the ability to review, analyze, and solve particular business problems in manufacturing and service organizations.

Phase one (1 day): Foundations of Lean Management
- Describe basic lean terms, principles, and concepts
- Distinguish between Value Added (VA) and Non-Value Added activities (NVA)
- Understand various forms of lean waste
- Understand the relationship between inventory and process lead time
- Understand common challenges/obstacles and keys to success
Phase two (2 days): Lean problem solving tools and techniques
- Understand a lean problem – problem recognition, description, and definition specific to organization setting.
- Understand lean tools and techniques and how they are used to solve lean problems in organizations.
- Understand how to implement and sustain solutions
- Understand how to monitor the performance of implemented solutions
Phase three (2 days): Application of Lean
- Identify a lean project at your organization.
- Understand the PDCA cycle for your identified lean project and how it affects lean improvements.
- Understand A3 technique and how it is used to organize and manage lean improvement projects.
- Apply both PDCA and A3 to successfully complete lean improvement projects.

Training material: Apple Vision limited provides electronic training content five days through emails prior to the start of the scheduled training date. No refund can be issued if the digital course content has been accessed.
Engagement policy
Apple Vision limited reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule trainings and to change instructors. Please be advised that in the event of a course cancellation, Apple Vision limited will give a notice in advance to the registrants through emails or phone calls.
If you need to cancel, Apple Vision limited will refund your paid enrollment fee as stated below.
- Requests for cancellations/transfers received at least 5 business days before the start of the course receive a full refund/transfer.
- Requests received within 5 business days of the course starting incur a 100 USD processing fee.
- After the course starts, there are no refunds or transfers.
- Registrants who fail to attend without advance notice are liable for the entire training fee.
- Transfer your training fees to another Apple Vision limited course of your choice is allowed upon mutual agreement.
Certificate of completion
To obtain a Certificate of Completion, a trainee must successfully complete the entire training program.
